I went to Glen Innes (a little town at the North West of Port Macquarie) with Paul Pudner the winemaker of Cassegrain Wine. We left Port Macquarie Thursday at 4h00 pm through the mountain, and after delivered wine to Eva’s sister, we finally arrived in Glen Innes at 9h30 pm.
Friday we started by let some wine to the wine show, this wine show is for select the best wine of New England. After, we went to Zappa vineyard, a little winery who sells fruit to Cassegrain, and Cassegrain Wine help them for the winemaking. They grow Tempranillo, Chardonnay, Barbarossa, Shiraz and Merlot Cabernet. But since 2 years they didn’t have harvest because the hail destroyed everything. The people who care about this winery come from Italia and they are very nice and interesting.
At 5h00 pm we come back to Glen Innes for the result of the wine show (Cassegrain Wine won 6 bronze medals, 1 silver and 3 gold). Then we had dinner with all the concurrent, judges and sponsor of the wine show. The food was really awful.
We come back to Port Macquarie Saturday and today I woke up at 5h00 am to see the magnific game France vs. New Zealand, it was fantastic, and I’ve just one things to say: ALLER LES BLEUS
PS: Australia loose and Aussies are very very disappointed.
